25 week update and Blanket drive

Josh and I went to another ultrasound appointment on the 15th, and everything is still looking as perfect as ever! We got a great view of her heart and I can't believe how beautiful it looks. I never knew what a 4 chamber heart looks like on ultrasound, but now I do and it's amazing to see. She is growing like she is supposed to and is even up to 1 pound 10oz already! Only a week and a half left in this 2nd trimester and we're on to the 3rd!!! It's so exciting! We also tried to get a 3D picture of Leyna but she was not wanting to cooperate at all. She kept her hands in front of her face the whole time. So we're hoping at our next appt we will get a good look at that beautiful face of hers!

I also wanted to mention that we are currently doing a blanket drive in honor of Hailey's life. We plan on collecting new and unused blankets between now and December 1st. We will be bringing them to Doernbecher Children's Hospital on December 2nd (Hailey's 1st Angelversary). This will be a great way to help us get through an emotional day for us. Click Here to see the facebook event we created for our blanket drive. If you need more information and would like to donate, please respond via facebook or e-mail me labradorgirl1981@msn.com.

  3. so glad to read about a rainbow after the storm (You subscribed to my blog thanks for that I subscribed to yours also) I am so happy for you...we find out I guess on the 26th how baby is growing and get a more concrete due date (first OB visit) I am kind of having cold feet don't want to go only cause I dont want to find what was found last time I was pregnant...this being my 6th baby and last I hope to keep him/her this time...I had two girls adopted out I have too boys at home and then we recently (2008) Lost Josie our angel tuners/hlhs baby girl...it was hard...I still dont know how I survived it...but I did and I am sure glad I did. I have met some wonderful people on the web since then, and it has opened doors for me to be able to raise awareness on things that no one knows about and its number one birth defect in the world! Congenital Heart Defects...I personally think that society may not be aware but its to me genocide to not fund research for such defects...yet they fund childhood cancers which don't kill as many children as CHDs do...I am sure you know all this but I am so riled up about it and I cant help but to preach it at every chance I get...lol so forgive me...I hope to someday reach a celebrity and get their attention to CHDs and hope to get them on down the road to find the cure and help raise funds and all that...anyways...Im tired so I am rambling sorry...I look forward in following your blog wish they sent emails when things were updated...on here...thats frustrating...anyways I will check back thanks again for following me God Bless you and your new Bundle of Joy :-) do you have a name picked out yet?
